Featured Projects

Real-world products I've built and scaled — from AI-powered mobile apps on the Play Store to tools on the web.

Cloud Storage Backup Drive - Backup, Sync & Restore — app screens

Cloud Storage Backup Drive - Backup, Sync & Restore

An Android backup client for keeping photos, videos, documents and audio safe in the cloud. Files are browsed and selected on the device, backed up to cloud storage and restored on demand, with automatic backup options so chosen content keeps syncing without picking files again each time. Sign-in runs through Google so a backup follows the user to a new phone, storage access is requested up front with the reason spelled out, and the interface is localised into a long list of languages.

Sugar Republic - Embroidered Silk Suits & Kaftans — app screens

Sugar Republic - Embroidered Silk Suits & Kaftans

An online store for a Pakistani womenswear label selling embroidered silk suits and kaftans. Built on WordPress and WooCommerce, it carries ready-to-wear two and three piece suits, unstitched fabric and kaftans across a filterable catalogue, with multi-variant product pages, wishlist and quick view, customer accounts, and a full cart and checkout. Shipping is free on advance payment with cash on delivery available nationwide, and a WhatsApp button sits alongside the usual storefront pages — size guide, composition and care, FAQs, returns and privacy.

CapDownloader - CapCut Video Downloader — app screens

CapDownloader - CapCut Video Downloader

A free web tool for saving CapCut videos without the watermark — paste a CapCut URL and get a clean HD file back, as MP4 or MP3, with no software to install and no account. Processing is instant, downloads are unlimited, and nothing is retained server-side. Beyond the downloader the site doubles as a reference on CapCut itself, with a "What is CapCut?" explainer covering editing, templates, effects, captions and audio, plus an FAQ, privacy page and multi-language support across light and dark themes.

Noor e Hunar - Custom Couture Brand Site — app screens

Noor e Hunar - Custom Couture Brand Site

A brand site for a made-to-order Pakistani couture label: luxury formals and pret recreated by hand and stitched to a customer's measurements at a fraction of the designer price. Send a photo and the studio handles everything from sketch to doorstep. The site leads with a portfolio of real client pieces pulled from Instagram, walks through the ordering process, and backs it with a Client Love wall of actual DM and WhatsApp messages rather than typed-up quotes. Orders run through Instagram DM, with a free sketch and quote as the entry point.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What people usually want to know before getting in touch.

Osama Mumtaz is a Technical Product Manager and Senior Software Engineer based in Islamabad, Pakistan, with 7+ years in mobile. He leads Android, QA, design and AI teams at Funsol Technologies, and works across both sides of the job — owning product roadmaps while still writing production code. He has shipped 50+ apps to the Google Play Store and led 40+ engineers.

Yes. He takes on Android and cross-platform app builds, technical product management for mobile products, engineering team leadership, and Play Store launch and monetisation work. The fastest way to start a conversation is email at osamamumtaz96@gmail.com or WhatsApp at +92 318 5297392 — he typically replies within 24 hours.

Android in Kotlin and Java, Jetpack Compose and Compose Multiplatform for cross-platform work, and Firebase for backend services. Beyond mobile he works with Python, Django, JavaScript, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and Docker, and integrates AI features into both mobile and web products.

Yes. SnapLingo, an AI-powered language learning app for children, is built in Compose Multiplatform — a single Kotlin codebase serving both platforms. For projects where a shared codebase makes sense, this cuts duplicated work without giving up native performance.

Both. Alongside Play Store apps he designs and ships web products, including GeoPromptTracker (a toolkit for AI search visibility), ReelstoMP4 and sssxdown. His background started in web development before he moved into Android, so he is comfortable across the stack.

He has led 40+ engineers across 5+ teams. As Technical Product Manager at Funsol Technologies he runs cross-functional groups spanning Android, SQA, UI/UX, Python, web, AI and DevOps, and was previously Android Team Lead there, owning architecture, delivery and code review practice.

He is based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and works remotely with clients in other time zones. Email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp are all open channels for an initial conversation.

He has taken utility apps from launch to scale on the Play Store and implemented AdMob monetisation strategies built to maximise revenue while staying inside Google's policies — a distinction that matters, since policy violations can pull an app's revenue or listing entirely.
